The Delano King Foundation Africa Orphans Initiative began in 2018. Its mission is to fully fund scholarships to individuals orphaned by violence, epidemic or natural death to fulfill their educational goals of attending and graduating from Primary and Secondary school. The scholarship will cover; tuition fees, uniforms, and educational supplies. All Delano King Foundation scholarships are awarded based on a combination of merit and need, and funding levels are determined based on the cost of attendance and other resources. Scholarship recipients, as well as non-recipients, will be notified via email. Notification will be sent to the email provided in the application.
SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION:
The Delano King Foundation provides spiritual, educational, and emotional support to orphaned students in Liberia. Since its inception, the organization has focused on meeting the physical and spiritual needs of orphans, disable, abandon and the vulnerable populations of Liberia.
We aims to empower outstanding orphans through elementary and secondary education each year. Orphans are amongst the poorest and vulnerable individuals in the communities and the scholarship will help to make them integrate into community development and leadership.
The scholarship scouts orphaned or bereaved students with good academic achievement and potential. The scholarship also provide the eligible students with physical and spiritual mentorship. The mentorship is to enable students to get support and assistance with their study of various subjects and to have a personal relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Applications are open between September 16th – December 16th, 2019. Scholarship recipients as well as non-recipients will be notified via email. Notification will be sent to the email provided in the application between January 28th – February 28th, 2020.
HOW TO APPLY
There are three ways to apply for The Delano King Foundation Africa Orphans Initiative, although we prefer online applications or those sent by email. There is no application fee, and you must never pay anyone to apply or to apply on your behalf.
Please note that if you apply by post, all submitted documents will not be returned to you. Therefore, you must send copies of documents ONLY.

Delano King Foundation promotes educational development in Africa for orphans and less fortunate children in the form of scholarships, and by gathering educational resources and distributing them to those in need while working to provide access to educational facilities and other necessary infrastructure.
Our long term goal is to contribute to the improvement of education and,thereby, helping to eradicate poverty in Liberia, and across Africa.
