The Prison Fellowship is an outreach of the Delano King Foundation. Our goal is to aid in the restoration of lives that have been broken and devastated by sin.
Our team of evangelists visits the prison monthly with the Word of God, equipping those who are incarcerated with the life-changing power of God. We do not only meet the spiritual needs of prisoners but the physical needs as well. This includes the distribution of clothes, food, and toiletries.
Lives the enemy has tried to destroy and render powerless to change are being transformed and delivered by the awesome power of God’s Word. God’s Word is what delivers and changes the heart of man and makes him new.
DKF’s work with prisoners is guided by the scripture verse, “I was a stranger and you did not take me in, naked and you did not clothe me, sick and in prison and you did not visit me. (Matthew 25:43).” We are committed to helping the prisoners have a chance at a better life through direct physical and spiritual support.
They may be in a place of confinement, but when the Spirit of the Lord manifests, there is total freedom that takes place. This freedom comes from God through the power of his son Jesus Christ. Our team of evangelists are used mightily to lead the prisoners into the presence of the Lord. God’s Word is preached without restraint and the prisoners are free to receive Salvation, Healing, and Deliverance in their lives.
We believe that no life is beyond the reach of God’s power, and we envision a future in which countless prisoners, ex-prisoners, and their families are redeemed, restored, and reconciled through the love and truth of Jesus Christ. To that end, we seek to prepare Christian inmates to become leaders of their families, communities, and churches once they are released back into the community. We also endeavor to support prisoners’ families, helping them become reconciled to God and one another through the power of the Gospel.
